Daughter of Olympian and Canadian legend Ian Millar, Amy Millar was born into the equestrian sport of show jumping. She began riding horses at an early age on the family farm, spending every possible moment in the barn surrounded by her family's horses.

Amy entered the Grand Prix ranks at just 19 years of age and has since achieved numerous international successes with various equine partners.

In early 2010, Amy took a step away from competition to become a mother with the birth of her daughter, Lily. She paused her career again in 2018 to welcome her son, Alexander. Despite these breaks, Amy returned to the ring with impressive results, equally balancing her equestrian career and motherhood.

Amy was named to her first Olympic Games in 2016, competing aboard her talented 9-year-old gelding, Heros. The following year, she was crowned Canadian Show Jumping Champion.

After securing her spot on team Canada for the 2023 Pan American Games, She helped the team bring home a sliver medal, and placed 6th individually with Truman.

Currently, Amy rides for Team Archers in Major League Show Jumping.

Event Details

There will be 2 groups of up to six demo riders.

The first session is the Developing jumper - Show experience 1m to 1.20m. Ideally 6 to 8 yrs. NO horses under 5 years old.
The second session is the Grand Prix jumper - show experience 1.35 m and up. No upper age limit, but NO horses younger than 6 years old.

Requirements

Applicant must have a current CSHA Associate, Annual, or Life Membership.
Applicant must have a current AEF membership.
Applicant horse priority order: CSHA registered, CSHA breeding Approved, Canadian bred.
Applicant must provide a 1:30 - 2:00 minute unedited video, sound on, of horse and rider. 30-45 sec flat plus a jumping course.
Applicant must provide proof of current vaccinations and a negative coggins drawn within 6 months of the event.
